Mason hen tackeye bluebill. It is in original paint with the wear that you would expect to see on a decoy that is 100 years old. The feather loop painting is still visible on the back. Hen Masons are harder to find because when Mason made a dozen decoys eight were drakes and only four were hens.

Jim Holly canvasback. Holly was from Harve de Grace, MD and was the son of decoy maker John "Daddy" Holly. The decoy is in working paint as are most decoys that were used in salt water. It carries the OO brand which was a rig that belonged to Orville Nash of Kent Island, MD.

Redhead by the J.N. Dodge Co. Dodge was a forerunner to Mason. The operated in Detroit, MI from around 1872 until 1894. This redhead is one of the earliest Dodge decoys that are sometimes called backyard Dodges. The paint is worn but still very pleasing.

Miniature Hooded Merganser decoys. This is an excellent pair of miniature decoys, with each decoy being about 6 1/2 inches long. The base they are on is 12 inches long. The carver is unknown to me, but did a wonderful job with excellent feather detail in both carvings.

Black was from Bordentown, NJ and in his lifetime made between 400 and 500 decoys. Most of Black's decoys were given to family members, when he did sell them he charged $2 each. His carving style was later used by carvers like Bianco, West, and McLoughlin.
