The South Louisiana Wildfowl carving show was held on February 22- 23 24 at the Terrebonne Parish Sheeriff Range on Savanne Road in Houma, La. We tought you would enjoy seeing some of the decoys and carvings on display.
This was a display of a fine collection of songbirds. This is a fine example of Louisiana carvers at their best.
In the fish catagory this Speckled trout came out first place.
This is a nice Bluewing Teal taking a first place.
A lot of these pictures I am not sure of what divisions they were in so I will just put the pictures for you to enjoy and also I do not have the carvers name.
This is a beautiful carving of a dove in nest. And you wonder why a lot of collectors are so interested in Louisiana carvings to add to their collections
The picture below is a greenwing teal that was entered - notice the tag on the picture, this carving was done by a carver in the novice division.Look out when a carver like this get to be in the professional division.
